Description: Safely and efficiently operating a variety of equipment and responsible for inspecting, providing preventative maintenance and reporting any equipment concerns to management.

Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Operates machinery to move inventory throughout the facility in a safe manner without damaging equipment, inventory or company property.*
• Performs required inspections and basic maintenance of equipment to ensure safe operating conditions.*
• Dismantle vehicles with specified equipment
• Crush vehicle inventory
• Load inventory into appropriate facilities, containers, trucks or trailers
• Keep all equipment clean and functioning
• Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment, and clean, lubricate and refill the equipment as necessary
• Use various pieces of equipment to perform fine grading and finishing, sloping and banking, back filling, demolition, ditching, loading, excavating and stockpiling
• Only move/handle vehicles with an inventory sticker"
• Follows all safety policies and procedures.*

Language Ability:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Education/

Experience:



High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience or knowledge in the automotive industry.

Certificates and Licenses:

Valid driver's license. Forklift certification. Training and certification available.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. For heavier merchandise lifting devices and/or assistance is required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and outdoor weather conditions. This is a smoke free environment for safety reasons.
