Located in Bracebridge, this temporary role focuses on assisting youths transit from the child protection system to adult life. With responsibilities including goal-setting, resource navigation, and overall support, you’ll be instrumental in helping young people achieve their independence. This position requires a strong understanding of social issues affecting youth.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support youth in transitioning to independent living
• Facilitate access to adult service systems
• Aid in setting and achieving life goals
• Respond to individual needs and concerns
• Report to the Service Manager for additional tasks
Requirements:
• Post-secondary credential in social work or related fields
• Bilingual (French/English) proficiency is mandatory
• Driver’s license and personal vehicle required
• Familiarity with child welfare theories and practices
• Effective communication and critical thinking skills
