Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Hydraulics Technician to join the team. In this role you will be responsible for the build and service for all hydraulics related components ensuring specifications are constantly being met. Half of your time will be dedicated to race‑critical hydraulic systems, supporting the Race Team at events, tests, and dyno sessions. The other half will focus on delivering world‑class hydraulic assemblies within our Build Department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the assembly, service, and repair of all Hydraulic Components within the Build department, both in the factory and trackside.
  • Support the Race Team with event‑ready components, rapid‑turnaround servicing, and technical expertise.
  • To provide end to end support for the Race Team, F1 Evolution, and all AMR Future Projects to ensure all assemblies are available on time and as design intention.
  • Maintain accurate build documentation and follow technical drawings with absolute precision.
  • Drive continuous improvement within the Hydraulics department and across the wider F1 programme.
  • Assist with dyno testing, trackside support, and future AMR projects.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and high‑performance working environment.
  • Train new team members and collaborate across Car Assembly, R&D, Inspection, and Production.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Proven experience in Formula One or an equivalent top‑tier motor sport environment.
  • Advanced Knowledge of current F1 Hydraulic Systems, and be able to carry out builds, service, repair and tests on all assemblies.
  • Good understanding of current methodologies used in the industry.
  • Ability to interpret assembly drawings and follow build procedures.
  • Strong communication, organisation, and teamwork skills with the confidence to work independently when needed.
  • An analytical approach to problem‑solving and a calm, methodical mindset under pressure.
  • Commitment to Health & Safety and the discipline required to meet tight deadlines.
  • Self‑motivation, initiative, and the drive to elevate the department.
