Job Description

The Technology Coordinator at Tri County Tech plays a key role in managing and supporting campus-wide technology operations. The position is hands‑on, working across various technology domains to ensure the institution's infrastructure and information systems are efficient, reliable, and capable of supporting growth. Responsibilities include system maintenance, troubleshooting, and collaboration with team members to develop creative solutions that enhance both staff and student experiences.

Change management is a critical aspect of the role, requiring adaptability and a focus on seamless transitions.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or Business/Management Information Systems.
  • Five years of related work experience providing/supporting IT solutions in a customer‑facing role.
  • Knowledgeable in application support, cloud‑based telephony, network infrastructure, security best practices, and distance‑learning technologies; skill‑related industry certifications preferred.
  • Familiarity with audio/visual equipment installation, configuration, and troubleshooting (projectors, TVs, wireless mic systems, audio mixers).
  • Experience participating in enterprise help desk support.
  • Detail‑oriented and organized, able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Superb customer‑service focused mindset, striving to exceed expectations and communicate effectively.
  • Initiative, willingness to take on projects and additional duties.
  • Continuous learner, open to feedback.
  • Problem‑solver, seeking workable solutions to challenges.
Key Responsibilities

Coordinators oversee major projects and departmental functions, providing support to leadership by implementing change initiatives efficiently and effectively while flexibly assuming new responsibilities.

Essential Functions
  • Identify and recommend enterprise technology solutions: analyze the business requirements of all departments and programs.
  • Assist in developing long‑range plans for technology infrastructure.
  • Maintain budget to actual on capital expenditures; coordinate/facilitate technology ordering.
  • Develop reliable metrics for hardware, software, and storage while ensuring strategic capacity planning.
  • Manage and respond to work requests in a timely manner.
  • Ensure hardware and software upgrades are up to date.
  • Coordinate technology operations according to established goals.
  • On‑call availability as required for evening class support.
  • Other job‑related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
