Job Summary
The Assistant Supervisor will effectively lead, coordinate, and direct all tasks associated with running food manufacturing production line(s). Work is to be performed consistently with established standards by personally performing duties or delegating to subordinate employees.
Responsibilities- Verify all raw materials at production line(s) for accuracy and condition. Ensure the verification of quantity, locator tickets, and lot codes. Accuracy of information is critical.
- Perform and document material inventory at the production line.
- Perform head count and document all employees at the production line.
- Request materials for the following shift, with a minimum of 2 hours advance notice.
- Attend the daily shift DDS/Handover meetings to communicate relevant information with the incoming shift personnel.
- Notify the shift Supervisor immediately when any issues are identified with safety, materials, equipment, or people.
- Maintain cleanliness of lines at all times.
- Ensure employee safety ort unsafe conditions to the Production Supervisor or Maintenance Manager.
- Maintain assigned reports. Accuracy of all paperwork is mandatory.
- Monitor the performance of the line to meet standards while maintaining quality. Train all employees on tasks as needed.
- Enforce company rules regarding safety, GMP, SQF, discipline, cooperation, and teamwork.
- Attend selected meetings as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
- Assist the Supervisor with maintaining facility goals.
- Work with the Supervisor to identify root cause and corrective actions regarding QC holds and rework.
- Average math skills and proven ability to perform tasks.
- Ability to read and interpret company documents.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels.
- Ability to learn and use ERP system.
- Attend all food safety training sessions (GMP, SQF, HACCP, Allergen, Food Facility Security, Preventing Foodborne Illness).
- Participate in company GMP walks.
- Enforce company rules regarding food safety and monitoring.
- Office setting and warehouse/production environment with temperature range of 55 – 80 degrees.
- Operate standard office equipment.
- Reach with hands and arms.
- Lift up to 25 pounds.
- Able to operate industrial equipment and company specific equipment.
- Associate must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 pounds.
- Required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
$20-30 / hr plus $1 / hr shift differential
