Operations Manager, Production Manager
The Operations Supervisor is responsible for the operational organization and performance of assigned department(s). This role works closely with the Operations Manager to deliver Senior’s goals and objectives, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and workforce effectiveness. The supervisor provides leadership to area leads and supports the union workforce through coaching, mentoring, and consistent communication.
Key Result Areas & Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the department’s operational team, including oversight of employees and area leads.
- Manage the department seating chart aligned with the production plan.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to area leads, ensuring effective governance of the union workforce.
- Communicate production support requirements through GEMBA walks and cross‑functional meetings with engineering, quality, and safety teams.
- Facilitate weekly production meetings with area leads and communicate required actions to engineering, maintenance, quality, and safety support groups.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and standards for 5S, safe work practices, quality workmanship, and Senior Flexonics work rules.
- Lead workshop events and Kaizen activities and maintain ownership of the lean audit process, including reporting metrics and communicating results.
- Support Senior’s long‑term strategy deployment initiatives as they relate to departmental improvements.
- Lead activities to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Record all production for the work shift into the MRP system.
- Track and report daily KPI metrics (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Performance).
- Train new personnel in workstation operation and develop cross‑training plans.
- Build strong relationships with support teams to drive process improvements.
- Engage cross‑functional teams to improve uptime and optimize weekly KPIs.
- Coordinate with maintenance, quality, safety, and engineering groups to resolve issues and support improvement initiatives.
Additional Responsibilities
- Manage improvement initiatives at defined cadence and frequency.
- Support cross‑functional collaboration to improve equipment uptime and departmental KPIs.
Education
- Associate degree preferred (not required)
Certifications
- No specific certifications required (none listed in workbook)
Experience
- Minimum 5 years in operations supervision
- Minimum 3 years in lean systems and supervisory roles

The expected salary range for this position is $65-90K per year. Final compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and other relevant factors.
