Overview
Local Truck Driver (Non-CDL/CDLC) route delivery in Bartlett, IL. New CDL graduates and/or permit holders encouraged to apply. Direct-Hire, hourly pay, home daily, full benefits. Company has been in business since 1982 providing fresh produce and other products to restaurants and other end users. We are accepting applications for Local Truck Driver CDL C Route Delivery Drivers to work in our distribution warehouse within 30 miles of Bartlett, IL.
Compensation- Annual salary range: $65,000 to $75,000 per year
- Hourly wage of $22.75 per hour
- Overtime paid after 40 hours per week
- Typical work week is 50-55 hours per week
- Safety shoes required; $250 vouchers provided per year

- Eligibility for benefits starts the first of the month following a 60-day probation period
- 5-day work week:
Monday-Saturday, off Sunday and one other day per week - Start times typically between 3:30am-4:00am; work until completed, usually 10-12 hours per day
- No layovers, home every day
- Make 10-15 stops per day; 150-200 mile radius of Bartlett IL
- Must be flexible with work schedule; work schedule may change based on business needs
- Fingerprint 400-900 cases per day, highly physical, touch freight
- Some deliveries require going up and down stairs
- Work in refrigerated environments and outdoor elements year-round
- Secure loads using load straps before and after every stop
- Route delivery, driver unload, lift-gate, pallet jack, curve ramp, and 2-wheel hand cart
- Touch freight, case delivery of food-grade products to restaurants, schools, and end users
- Drive CDL C straight truck to transport materials and equipment to specific route destinations
- Secure pallets using straps; strap and unstrap at each delivery
- Document pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Manage hours of service (HOS) and ensure DOT compliance
- Use keys, alarm codes, tablets, etc. for overnight deliveries
- Provide excellent customer service
- Check mechanical aspects of the vehicle
- Report maintenance/repair issues on tractors and trailers
- Hold a valid driver’s license and/or Commercial Driver s License from state of Illinois
- Prior local, multi-stop delivery experience using hand-cart, ramp, pallet jack is preferred
- Current DOT Medical Card and ability to pass pre-employment DOT drug and criminal background screen
- Must be able to drive a manual transmission; no automatic restrictions
- Familiar with Samsara systems a plus but training will be provided
- Be in excellent physical condition and able to stand, sit, kneel, bend, lift, push, pull for extended periods; normal use of senses
- Able to work in all environments and conditions (hot, cold, dust, indoors, outdoors)
- Legally eligible to work in the U.S.
- Must be able to read, speak, write, and understand English
- Must pass pre-hire drug screen and physical
- Be able to lift, push, pull 65 pounds with no assistance
