Position: Associate Director, Commercial Development (Mammalian & Microbial Development & Manufacturing) - Basel

We have an opportunity for an Associate Director, Commercial Development within Mammalian & Microbial Development & Manufacturing (MMDM) the role has a focus on developing and commercializing targeted business approaches and operative pricing strategies for launch supporting clinical development and the manufacturing business unit expansion strategy. In this position, you will ensure that the business unit strategy consistently delivers sales and profitability growth targets.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assist the sales and business development teams with technical and operational queries, exploring extensions to our standard service offerings, supporting customer discussion and contract negotiations including alignment with other sub-Business Units.
  • Contribute to creative business cases and go-to-market strategies in collaboration with key stakeholders to maximize growth opportunities

  • Maintain a strong understanding of the commercial landscape through harnessing competitive and market intelligence input with operational capability to identify and target market growth opportunities
  • Key requirements:

  • Degree in Biological Sciences or Chemistry
  • Commercial experience in the in Pharmaceutical or CMO industry
  • Experience of business and strategy planning
  • Excellent persuasive communication skills in English
  • Able to travel 20% internationally
