About the Role:

The Automatic Machine Operator plays a critical role in the manufacturing process by efficiently operating and monitoring automated machinery to ensure consistent production quality and output. This position requires a keen attention to detail to detect and resolve minor mechanical issues, minimizing downtime and maintaining workflow continuity. The operator will collaborate closely with maintenance and quality assurance teams to uphold safety standards and production specifications.

Through precise machine setup, calibration, and adjustment, the operator ensures that products meet stringent quality requirements. Ultimately, this role contributes significantly to the overall efficiency and success of the manufacturing operation by maintaining smooth and reliable machine performance.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience operating automatic or semi-automatic machinery in a manufacturing environment.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to perform routine machine maintenance.
  • Ability to read and interpret production instructions, blueprints, or technical documents.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification in machine operation or industrial maintenance.
  • Experience with computerized machine controls or PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) systems.
  • Familiarity with quality control procedures and manufacturing best practices.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including nights and weekends if required.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
  • Set up, operate, and monitor automatic machines according to production schedules and specifications.
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
  • Identify and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues, escalating complex problems to maintenance personnel as needed.
  • Maintain accurate production records, including machine settings, output quantities, and quality control data.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies to create a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and improve operational processes.
Skills:

The required skills enable the operator to efficiently set up and run automatic machinery while maintaining high safety and quality standards. Mechanical aptitude is essential for performing routine maintenance and quickly identifying issues that could disrupt production. Reading and interpreting technical documents ensures the operator can follow precise instructions and maintain product specifications. Preferred skills such as familiarity with PLC systems and quality control enhance the operator's ability to manage more complex machinery and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Effective communication and teamwork skills support collaboration with maintenance and supervisory staff to optimize manufacturing processes.
