We are looking for an enthusiastic and self‑motivated person to join our growing team of Pharmacy Assistants and Technicians. The post holders will be involved in a broad range of activities in the Aseptic Services Unit of the Pharmacy, which will be the primary base.
The purpose of this role is:
- To be responsible for the day‑to‑day organisation of the Aseptic Services Unit (ASU);
Chemotherapy and Radio pharmacy. - To supervise the day‑to‑day activities of the rotational and permanent technical staff working in the ASU.
- To ensure that all staff conform to the required standard of Quality Assurance and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and work in accordance with validated and approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) at all times.
- To participate in the aseptic dispensing of chemotherapy, monoclonal antibodies, parenteral nutrition and radiopharmaceuticals.
- To assist the Lead Aseptic Services Technician in the training of all staff working in the ASU.
Candidates must have NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent plus accredited underpinning knowledge (BTEC in Pharmaceutical Science or equivalent).

Person Specification Qualifications and Training- NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent
- Registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the GPHC
- Pre and in process checking or willing to undertake
- Training in aseptic services eg TSET, PTQA, APDM
- Experience of working as a pharmacy technician in aseptic services
- Knowledge of GMP
- Principles of Aseptic dispensing
- Knowledge of the principles of Quality Assurance
- Previous experience of working in an unlicensed unit
- Radiopharmacy experience
