Lays out, fabricates, assembles, installs and maintains piping systems and related equipment;
Selects pipe types/sizes and materials according to job specifications;
Inspects worksites for obstructions and plans installation sequence;
Cuts, threads, bends, and assembles pipe with appropriate joints;
Mounts pipe hangers and brackets; secures pipes to structures;
Installs and maintains refrigeration and air conditioning systems and related piping;
Tests piping systems for leaks and observes gauges;
Welds pipe supports to structural members;
Loads, transports, and unloads materials, tools, and equipment;
Performs minor maintenance and cleaning of tools and equipment
