Job Summary

The Industrial Maintenance Technician / Electrician is responsible for preforming routine preventative maintenance as well as reactionary repairs on failed equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Observes mechanical devices in operation to ensure they are in proper working order.
• Diagnoses malfunctions in machinery and equipment.
• Dismantle devices to gain access to, remove, and replace defective parts.
• Ability to interpret specifications, blueprints and job orders.
• Repairs all production machinery and any related equipment.
• Assists supervisor with the maintenance of parts inventory, notifying supervisor of parts and machines needed. Lubricate and cleans parts.
• Recommends measures to improve equipment performance and safe work practices.
• Complies with company policies and procedures.
• Diagnose and repair electrical circuits and industrial electronic equipment

Education and/or Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with in a manufacturing setting
• Minimum 1 year experience in maintenance

Competencies:

• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Experience with the Microsoft suite of products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is a plus
• Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical schematics
• Able to stand for long periods of time
• Not afraid of heights
