Job Title: Buyer / Senior Buyer
Salary Range: $95,000 – $110,000
Location: Bedford MA
OverviewWe are seeking a Buyer or Senior Buyer to join our team due to recent turnover and immediate business needs. This role is ideal for a procurement professional who can step in quickly with minimal ramp‑up time and add value from day one. This would be a contract position for 6-12 months with the opportunity to become permanent.
Key Responsibilities- Manage procurement activities to support manufacturing and operational needs
- Source, negotiate, and manage suppliers within the Medical Device and/or Manufacturing space
- Execute purchase orders, monitor delivery schedules, and resolve supply issues
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Finance
- Maintain accurate purchasing data within ERP systems
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain
- Strong & recent SAP experience is required
- Experience as a Buyer or Senior Buyer within Medical Device manufacturing and/or a manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of ERP systems
- Oracle or other robust ERP platforms considered equivalent
- Ability to work independently with limited learning curve
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills
- 10+ years of SAP experience is required for this position
- Experience supporting regulated environments (FDA, ISO, or similar)
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple suppliers and priorities in a fast‑paced setting
