Registered Nurse (RN) – Full-Time Nights – Neonatal Intensive Care (NICU)
Work location:
Texas Health HEB, 1600 Hospital Parkway Bedford, TX 76022
Work hours:
Full-Time, Nights Shift, 36 hours weekly, 3-12 hour shifts, 6:30 pm – 6:30 am – Self‑Scheduling
- Work environment:
The Sirat Women's Center at Texas Health Hurst Euless Bedford (HEB) Hospital offers a part‑time opportunity for an experienced NICU RN. - 16 bed NICU unit with an average of 200 deliveries a month
- Level III NICU
- Maternal Designation III
- Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred
- RN – Registered Nurse – Upon Hire required
- BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly
- NRP – Neonatal Resuscitation Program 90‑Day requirement
- NRPA – Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program 90‑Day requirement
- CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 90 days
- 1 year experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program required
- 1 year of RN experience in NICU strongly preferred
Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process.
- Assesses the patient
- Plans the care of the patient
- Intervenes as appropriate
- Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
- Incorporates age‑specific safety and infection control measures into patient care
- Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant other’s need for information
- Maintains continuity of patient care inter‑shift, inter‑hospital, and during expediting out-of‑hospital transfers
