Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) - Full-Time Nights

Registered Nurse (RN) – Full-Time Nights – Neonatal Intensive Care (NICU)

Work location:

Texas Health HEB, 1600 Hospital Parkway Bedford, TX 76022

Work hours:

Full-Time, Nights Shift, 36 hours weekly, 3-12 hour shifts, 6:30 pm – 6:30 am – Self‑Scheduling

NICU Department Highlights
  • Work environment:
    The Sirat Women's Center at Texas Health Hurst Euless Bedford (HEB) Hospital offers a part‑time opportunity for an experienced NICU RN.
  • 16 bed NICU unit with an average of 200 deliveries a month
  • Level III NICU
  • Maternal Designation III
Here’s What You Need
  • Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred
  • RN – Registered Nurse – Upon Hire required
  • BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly
  • NRP – Neonatal Resuscitation Program 90‑Day requirement
  • NRPA – Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program 90‑Day requirement
  • CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 90 days
  • 1 year experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program required
  • 1 year of RN experience in NICU strongly preferred
What You Will Do

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process.

  • Assesses the patient
  • Plans the care of the patient
  • Intervenes as appropriate
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
  • Incorporates age‑specific safety and infection control measures into patient care
  • Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant other’s need for information
  • Maintains continuity of patient care inter‑shift, inter‑hospital, and during expediting out-of‑hospital transfers
