Technician Utility & Building Maintenance

Responsibilities

• Plans air conditioning systems, heating and ventilation installations as well as sanitary, security and communicative technical installations of buildings. Prepares connection schemes, assembly plans and piping diagrams. Executes calculations for technical building equipment.
• Develops requirement profiles and functional requirements under consideration of legal policies for supply of existing and new production lines. Initiates in consultation with supervisor planning and implementation of required technical measures. Executes performance and economic efficiency tests and prepares requests for quotation documents and technical details in contracts.
• Organises the planning of movements and the organisation of construction sites. Monitors and manages the implementation of building projects and execution of setting up at the construction site.
• Prepares supply and maintenance contracts and/or quality agreements with external authorities to ensure the adequate supply of production as well as administration buildings with necessary energies and utility supplies critical for production. Serves as point of contact in case of disturbances, changes or restrictions in the quality of supplies. Informs supervisor of the affected productions and documents all changes as well as breakdowns.
  
  Plans and monitors maintenance and repair work of respective installations by internal and external service providers in consultation with operator. Controls installations of smoke and heat outlets regarding fire protection security. Prepares documentation and user manuals for energy and media technical installations and equipment, supports process responsibles in training measures for employees.
• Ensures a continuous improvement of technical building installations by finding solutions for cost‑efficient and effective management of buildings. Analyzes energy and media consumption, ventilation and air condition technology, process cooling and handling of wastewater, prepares measures for improvement.
• Implements the IMSU/EHS directive in his/her area of responsibility. Operates machines in compliance with permissions. Monitors adherence to legal laws and internal regulations for environment, health & safety and accident prevention.
• Functionally authorized to execute technical supervision over assigned employees within the context of projects and monitors the proper execution of assigned tasks.

• Industrial engineering degree or mechanical engineering.
• 3–5 years planning and maintenance experience in utilities, energy supply, and other facilities or building maintenance.
• Proficient in SAP MM, FI/CO, MS Office. Fluent in English.
