Newry Salary: £15.00 - £16.50 per hour An established engineering and manufacturing company based in Newry is seeking an experienced Powder Coater to join their production team. This hands-on role will involve preparing, coating, and finishing metal components to a high standard within a busy workshop environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring consistent quality finishes across a range of fabricated and engineered products while maintaining safe and efficient working practices.

Job Overview Prepare metal components for powder coating including cleaning, masking, sanding, and hanging parts
* Apply powder coating finishes to fabricated and engineered components using spray equipment
* Operate powder coating ovens and monitor curing processes
* Inspect coated products to ensure quality standards and finish consistency
* Identify coating defects and carry out rework where required
* Maintain powder coating equipment and ensure the work area remains clean and organised
* Work from production schedules and job sheets to meet manufacturing deadlines
* Follow health & safety procedures and correct handling of materials and equipment
* Support wider workshop and production activities where required
* Work effectively as part of a manufacturing team in a fast-paced environment Requirements Previous experience within powder coating or industrial paint spraying
* Experience working within a manufacturing, engineering, or fabrication environment
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality finishes
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Good understanding of workshop health & safety procedures
* Reliable, punctual, and flexible approach to work
* Forklift or overhead crane experience would be advantageous but not essential Salary & Benefits Hours of Work
* Monday - Thursday: 07:00 - 17:00
* Friday: 07:00 - 13:00
* 40-hour working week Salary & Benefits * £15.00 - £16.50 per hour depending on experience
