Pay Range: $46.48 - $62.09 per hour

Job Overview: Registered Nurse for our Labor & Delivery Unit at Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville, NJ.

Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited NLN Nursing program
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Proficient computer skills
• Minimum two years recent/current Labor and Delivery experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• BSN

Certifications and Licenses

Required:

• BLS from the American Heart Association
• Active NJ RN license or compact RN license with NJ endorsement
• NRP Certification
• ACLS Certification

Scheduling Requirements:

• Per Diem Nights
• Must be available to work one (1) weekend shift per month
• Must be available to work two shifts per month Monday-Friday
• Summer:
  Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day
• Winter:
  Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day

Essential Functions:

• Provide nursing care within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards
• Ensure patient safety and adhere to evidence-based practice standards
• Report identified safety issues such as hazardous environments and medical errors
• Maintain knowledge of the patient population served
• Supervise and delegate tasks to appropriate team members and collaborate with other patient care providers
• Set and evaluate priorities through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes toward improvement
• Serve as an individual practitioner and interdisciplinary team manager, utilizing the nursing process to integrate all aspects of care
