Early Learning Summer Services Support (ECEAP)
Early Learning is grounded in providing leadership, professional development, technical assistance and resources to support high quality, developmentally appropriate Early Learning experiences designed to prepare children for school and beyond. As an Ameri Corps member serving in the role of Early Learning Summer Services Support, you will support early learning programs and help families access high-quality summer and year-round early childhood education.
You will gain hands‑on experience in event planning, family engagement, and administrative support while making a meaningful impact on the community. Your service will help families access early learning programs, support children’s educational readiness, and strengthen community connections across Spokane.
- Help plan and support summer service family events across our service area region—primarily Spokane—engaging families in early learning activities.
- Collaborate with staff to implement activities efficiently & provide a positive experience for families.
- Assist with ongoing summer Early Childhood Education & Assistance Program (ECEAP) recruitment to increase access to high-quality early learning for local children.
- Organize & categorize materials for early learning programming activities.
- Engage in administrative support tasks such as copying & computer‑based preparation in support of summer planning & preparation for fall learning and beginning of school year tasks.
- Attend all Spokane Service Team trainings & Ameri Corps days of service.
- Maintain accurate & timely reports & timecards.
- Document & share stories, photos, & videos highlighting the Ameri Corps service project’s activities & impact to promote participation in project-related events.
