Water / Wastewater Infrastructure Senior Project Engineer
We are seeking a project engineer to support and lead the delivery of complex municipal water and wastewater projects across various locations in Washington including Bellevue, Olympia, Tacoma, Seattle, Tukwila, Woodinville, and Everett.
LocationMultiple locations in Washington state.
Key Responsibilities- Lead planning and design for municipal water and wastewater systems, including conveyance and pumping systems, storage and distribution systems, collection systems, and treatment facilities.
- Manage complex design tasks and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
- Prepare and oversee engineering deliverables including plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and design standards.
- Serve as Engineer of Record or technical lead on projects.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and technical staff, reviewing work for technical accuracy and quality.
- Build and maintain relationships with municipal clients and regulatory agencies, supporting proposal development and pursuit strategies.
- Participate in professional organizations and industry engagement.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or related field); PE license required or ability to obtain.
- 10+ years of progressive civil engineering experience, with a focus on water and wastewater systems.
- Strong experience in municipal water/wastewater system design.
- Proven ability to lead design efforts and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience managing or supporting projects through all phases of delivery.
- Familiarity with public agency processes, permitting requirements, and regulatory coordination.
- Proficiency with engineering tools such as hydraulic modeling, drafting/design software, Bluebeam, spreadsheets.
- Strong communication and technical writing skills.
- Experience mentoring or supervising junior staff.
