Mobile Janitor

Position Overview

Equans is looking for a Mobile Janitor to join our team. The role is permanent, full‑time (37.5 hours per week) based in North Lanarkshire Schools, Bellshill (ML4 3LR
). A competitive salary and benefits package will be offered.

The role follows a 2‑week rotating shift pattern across multiple school sites. Flexibility, including weekend work on a rota basis, is essential. Below are the typical shift formats:

• Primary School

  5 / 5½ days over 7;
  Early:
  Monday–Friday 07:00–15:00;
  Back:
  Monday–Friday 14:00–21:15;
  Saturday 08:00–12:15
• High School
  
  Shifts:
  
  5 days over 7;
  Early:
  Monday–Friday 07:00–15:00
• Mid Shift: Monday–Wednesday 08:00–16:00;
  Saturday & Sunday 09:00–16:15;
  Back:
  Monday–Friday 14:00–22:00

• Carry out janitorial duties across multiple school locations
• Open and close buildings safely, including security checks and patrols
• Respond to incidents and follow emergency procedures
• Liaise with Police and emergency services where required
• Ensure premises are secure, clean, and well maintained at all times

• Experience in a janitorial role, preferably in a school environment
• Client‑friendly attitude
• Full, valid UK driving licence and ability to use own vehicle (mileage expenses paid)
• Flexible availability across different sites and shift patterns
• Proof of right to work in the UK
