Role
A Weld Foreman is responsible for the direct supervision of welding crews, assigning daily tasks based on project priorities and individual welder strengths. They ensure all work meets code requirements and dimensional tolerances while maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient work environment. This role bridges the gap between high-level production goals and hands-on technical execution.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate the daily activities of the welding team, providing clear direction on work assignments and production goals. - Technical Guidance:
Provide hands-on assistance and troubleshooting for welding procedures (MIG, TIG, Stick) to ensure proper penetration and structural integrity. - Quality Inspections:
Conduct regular audits of finished welds to verify adherence to blueprint tolerances and material specification codes. - Workflow Management:
Monitor production schedules and manage the flow of materials to prevent bottlenecks and ensure deadlines are met. - Safety Enforcement:
Champion shop safety by enforcing PPE requirements, proper equipment usage, and clean workstation protocols. - Equipment Maintenance:
Oversee the daily operation and basic maintenance of welding machines, grinders, and material handling equipment like jib cranes.
A Weld Foreman must be a decisive leader who maintains high standards under pressure and adapts quickly to shifting production priorities.
