OSU – Cascades invites applications for part‑time, professional faculty Student Evaluator positions to evaluate student teachers for the 2025–2026 academic year and Fall Term 2026. The role supervises student teachers in undergraduate and graduate licensure related programs during the academic year.
Key Responsibilities- Observe, advise, and evaluate student teachers remotely and in person during field placement internships.
- Score assessments and mediate relationships with their cooperating teachers.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education.
- At least three years of K‑12 public school teaching experience.
- Valid teaching license for the content area of evaluation (or eligible to obtain).
- For ESOL student teacher evaluators only:
Valid ESOL endorsement on an Oregon teaching license (or eligible to obtain). - Position is critical or security‑sensitive – successful completion of a criminal history check and adherence to University Standard 05‑010 et seq. is required.
- Master’s degree in Education.
- At least two years of teaching experience immediately prior to the role.
- Experience teaching, training, or facilitating learning or curriculum development in the content area.
- Demonstrable commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion in mentorship and evaluation practices.
- For dual‑language specialization evaluators:
Valid Dual Language Specialization on an Oregon teaching license or comparable experience and training, and advanced proficiency in Spanish.
Incumbents must self‑report convictions and, if in a youth program, may undergo additional criminal history checks every 24 months.

Working ConditionsAttendance at quarterly faculty meetings may be required. Meeting with supervisor is required.
