Your impactWe're looking for a Senior Construction Inspector - Transportation to be based in the Oregon area (affiliated with offices in Bend, Portland, or Corvallis). You’ll have the chance to work on construction projects including roads, rapid transit, and specifically for the Oregon ADA ramp program. You’ll be accountable for working with contractors and subcontractors to ensure quality compliance, reviewing plans and specifications, assisting in Turn Over Package requirements and development.
You’ll also provide on‑site assistance monitoring and visually inspecting material at receipt and installation. Willing to travel Oregon‑wide under per diem during the construction season and then office or home‑office in the off season.
what you'll need
- High School Diploma or equivalent certified technical training
- 5+ years of experience working in DOT construction industry
- Knowledge of construction including material, methods, plans and specifications; associated safety requirements.
- Able and willing to work day and/or flexible schedules including weekends as required to support the project requirements.
- Valid drivers license with good driving history
- Current or ability to acquire Oregon DOT construction inspection and Americans with Disability Act ramp certification.
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas
- Displayed ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base

CompensationThe base salary range for this position is $35.00 to $45.00 per hour; though will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
