Critical Knowledge, Skills & Experience
candidates must have:
Eligibility to work in Germany.
Native German with fluency in written and spoken English.
Ability to demonstrate a comprehensive awareness of existing and developing technologies and how they can be applied to the business.
Proven previous experience with helpdesk and application support.
Some previous experience in a financial services firm or equivalent fast-paced environment.
Good problem solving skills. Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Good general knowledge of Windows Operating Systems.
Comfortable with the principles TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP.
Basic knowledge of Active Directory.
Basic Citrix knowledge.
Proficiency and knowledge of recording, tracking and closing incidents and requests.
Knowledge of PC hardware and experience of troubleshooting PC issues and printers.
Strong desire to learn new skills, expand upon and improve existing skills.
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Proven track record of relevant IT environment.
Successful track record of implementation with delivery on time and to budget.
Leading change in an IT environment.
Developing, implementing and managing strategies and plans aligned to key business objectives.
Developing a proactive service.
Effective working within teams and individually.

Salary: up to €40k per annum commensurate with skills and experience.

Purpose of Role
Based in Berlin, Germany, the IT Support Manager will support IT tasks allocated to IT responsible person at senior management level.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
including but not limited to:
Ensure efficient day-to-day running and coordination of all IT operational areas.
Establish, maintain and develop effective and efficient IT infrastructure.
Run IT risk analysis and develop procedures and systems to ensure IT is running well.
Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications.
Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks.
Talk staff or clients through a series of actions, either face-to-face or over the phone, to help set up systems or resolve issues.
Support the rollout of new applications.
Set up new users' accounts and profiles and deal with password issues.
Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults.
IT development (together with other FXCM entities).
Ensure compliance with IT best practice, relevant interpretation of BaFin (such as BAIT).
IT related communication internally and with third parties.
