Production Engineer

We are looking for a Plant Engineer to join our teams in Bern and support the reliability, optimization, and technical performance of visual inspection machines and packaging lines within a GMP pharmaceutical environment.

• Act as the system owner for visual inspection machines and packaging lines, ensuring their continuous technical reliability and compliance.
• Serve as the primary interface between Value Streams and MSAT teams to align operational and technical priorities.
• Coordinate and plan maintenance breaks, ensuring minimal disruption to production schedules.
• Lead troubleshooting activities and provide technical support for day-to-day operational challenges.
• Drive the optimization and continuous improvement of production facilities to enhance efficiency and performance.
• Implement system upgrades and modifications, supporting qualification and validation activities as required.
• Manage small investment projects within the plant engineering domain, from planning through execution.
• Collaborate with the Project Management Department on maintenance strategy, planning, and execution.
• Represent other Plant Engineers during absences and contribute to cross-functional topics within daily operations.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
• Conversational level of German (B2) and fluency in English.
• 1–5 years of experience in a similar engineering or technical support role within an industrial environment.
• Hands‑on experience with mechatronic systems such as packaging, visual inspection lines, fill & finish, or filling lines.
• Technical expertise in one or more of the following areas: automation, mechatronics, engineering, commissioning, or field engineering.
• Solid understanding of GMP regulations and pharmaceutical manufacturing standards.
