Position: Branch Manager - Bern

Job Overview & Purpose: To lead a Rural branch, made up of Rural Managers and support staff (analysts) to achieve business performance and customer satisfaction through effective and appropriate delivery of products and services within the Rabobank Risk Appetite. By understanding the competitive environment in the market, pro-actively engage with clients, prospects and stakeholders in the pursuit of the strategic objectives of the Branch, the Region and Country Banking Australia.

The Branch Manager will achieve this by ensuring the commercial and prudential elements are met by setting the right tone at the top, exercising management oversight and being in control.

In addition to leading the branch, the Branch manager will also ‘own’, lead and grow a portfolio of Rural clients.

The Branch Manager reports directly to the Regional Manager, whilst having a functional (dotted) reporting line to the Head of Relationship Management.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:* Engagement of internal and external stakeholders on new and existing initiatives in the area of Innovation, Customer Solutions and Business Analytics.* Engaging with our external clients and translating their story into tangible business and strategic insights.* Leverage off internal and external knowledge and networks to support cross-divisional working benefits.The Products and Deposits division will be essential in meeting Rabobank’s ambition to be the leader in food and agriculture banking in our regions of Australia and New Zealand, by providing a stable and low cost funding base for our lending, and ensuring that our products are compliant and exceed our customers' expectations.Strategy* Understand, support and contribute to the Products and Deposits strategy.* In consultation with Group Executive, Products & Deposits understand and leverage global innovation strategy and tailor to Australia and New Zealand.* Take ownership of innovation initiatives and implement across Australia and New Zealand.* Innovation ambassador with continued support for Innovation initiatives in Australia and New Zealand, mentoring, coaching and supporting Moon-shot winners. Leading communications for the global and local innovation initiatives, as well as promoting and inspiring all Rabobank staff to utilise an innovation lens.Leadership* Lead and role-model the team culture, setting the tone from the top with Rabobank agreed standards (Cooperative, Respect, Integrity, Sustainability, Professionalism, and Vitality).* Lead, mentor and coach Rural Managers and Support Staff within the Branch to ensure consistency of output, high performance and that Branch and individual KPIs are met.* Lead change initiatives, wherever required.* Drive continuous improvement and support the upholding of process improvement methodologies implemented in the branch. Promote and embody innovation.* Commercial* Deliver KPI’s commercial dashboard.Organisation* Be an initiator, adopter and where applicable the owner of new initiatives.Qualifications:* Degree in agriculture, business, economics, finance or related discipline.Experience:* 7-8 years of experience as a Rural Account Manager or similar role in another bank or relevant corporation.* Change experience.Knowledge:* Sound knowledge of the Food and Agribusiness industry.* Knowledge of Microsoft applications.Skills:* Strong written and verbal communication.* Demonstrated sales and marketing skills.* Demonstrated ability to lead an effective team.* Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external clients.* Demonstrate efficient time management and prioritisation of tasks with minimal supervision.* Ability to influence others with presentation, personal conviction and image.Competencies:* Customer Focus - Engaging the customer in dialogue.
