Seeking both a full-time (40 hours) and a part-time (20 hours) position.

SUMMARY

The PAIP (Partner Abuse Intervention Program) Facilitator leads structured group sessions for individuals referred by the courts, child welfare agencies, or self-referral who have used violence in intimate partner relationships. The PAIP program coordinates care with the criminal justice system to support accountability and behavior change. The facilitator delivers a standardized curriculum focused on accountability, behavior change, non-violent conflict resolution, and healthy relationship skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

* Conducts intake/assessments with people self-referred to or referred by another entity, including but not limited to the legal system, child welfare agency, etc. Attends in-person domestic violence court, as needed.

* Conducts court outreach and community engagement to maintain and expand referral sources, including courthouses within the catchment area such as Cook County, Maybrook, Bridgeview, and other assigned locations

* Coordinates care with the criminal justice system and maintains ongoing partnerships with referring agencies.

* Co-facilitates weekly Partner Abuse Intervention Program (PAIP) group(s) with persons who use violence against their intimate partner(s). Participants will attend groups voluntarily or will be mandated by associated referrals.

* Identifies group goals and then facilitates group discussions (in-person and/or virtual) for people that use violence against their intimate partners, that includes but is not limited to increasing participant accountability, using non-violent alternatives for conflict resolution, and to develop healthier relationships. The group is developed with the understanding that domestic violence is a learned behavior in which partners exert power and control tactics over others.

* Facilitates groups with the Pillars Community Health provided PAIP curriculum, which conceptualizes intimate partner violence as power and control issue within the relations

* Provides crisis intervention for clients as needed throughout the duration of services.

* De-escalates conflicts and hostile situations between group members and facilitators.

* Maintains frequent case-related contacts with participant referral sources, including but not limited to legal system and child welfare agencies.

* Updates the participant's partner on attendance and compliance with the PAIP group

* Provides limited individual follow-up services (Women's group, LGBTQ group)

* With the victim service provider, conduct monthly orientation for partners of participants.

* Documents for all direct service in accordance with program policy and procedures which can include intake/assessments, group documentation forms/notes, and third-party contact information.

* Collects program fees and maintains accurate financial documentation, including cash handling, daily cash sheets, and subsidy forms from Adult Probation, Social Services, self-pay clients, and third-party payers.

* Completes required administrative reporting, documentation, and timecards in a timely manner

* Informs each client of their rights and responsibilities.

* Refer clients to outside resources as appropriate.

* In consultation with the supervisor, reports suspected and reported abuse to vulnerable populations to Illinois Department of Children and Family Services or Adult Protective Services

* Completes case and statistical recordings, and other required reports and record keeping for assigned clients.

* Complies with organizational and program funding requirements such as administrative/statistical reporting, including submitting direct service reports and timecards in a timely fashion.

* Participate in supervision and professional development programs or training as required by PCH policy or licensing standards.

* Participates in department, program, line of service, and organizational meetings, as required.

* Responsible for completing position and organizational required trainings, and staying informed of all policies, procedures and regulations which apply to the position.

* Complies with all agency policies, procedures, funding requirements, and regulatory standards

* Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in human services, psychology, or social work required. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of degree if it has included education/experience in group facilitation.

Education and/or experience working with domestic violence clients is required. Education and/or experience in group facilitation required.
