Position Overview
The County Caseworker 2 position with the Columbia-Montour-Snyder-Union County MH/ you the chance to support individuals and families in meaningful ways. This role allows you to build strong relationships while guiding people through important challenges. Responsibilities- Case Management:
Support consumers and families who have developmental disabilities or serious mental illness by coordinating services and resources - Resource Coordination:
Work with consumers and partner agencies to locate community supports and guide access to available services - Home Visits:
Meet with individuals and families in homes and community settings to assess needs and provide ongoing support - Documentation Review:
Examine information and records to ensure accurate planning and coordination of services - Communication Support:
Maintain effective communication with consumers, families, service providers, and other agencies involved in care
- Full‑time employment.
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday – Friday, with a 30‑minute lunch.

- Six months of experience as a County Caseworker 1.
- Successful completion of the County Social Casework Intern program.
- A bachelor's degree with a social welfare major.
- A bachelor's degree which includes or is supplemented by 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences and one year of professional social casework experience in a public or private social service agency.
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences.
- Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within two months of graduating with a qualifying degree/credits.
- PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
