We are looking for a capable resource to coordinate, ranging from simple activities to more complex plans. This role will provide on-site assistance to end-users within the organisation’s desktop computing environment in a timely and accurate fashion to ensure optimal service delivery.

The Network Hands & Feet Support Technician provides on-site, physical support for network and data center infrastructure. This role acts as “remote hands” for network, server, and IT operations teams by performing installations, troubleshooting, maintenance, and basic diagnostics under remote guidance.
Key Responsibilities- Perform physical installation, relocation, and removal of network and server equipment (routers, switches, firewalls, servers).
- Rack, stack, cable, and label network and server hardware.
- Connect and disconnect network, power, and fiber cables as instructed.
- Assist remote engineers with troubleshooting by checking link lights, reseating cables, rebooting devices, and verifying connections.
- Replace failed hardware components (NICs, power supplies, cables, disks) following standard procedures.
- Conduct visual inspections and report hardware issues or alarms.
- Perform basic network testing (ping tests, cable continuity checks).
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including photos when required.
- Escort vendors and ensure compliance with data center security policies.
- Follow change management, safety, and escalation procedures.
- Provide after-hours or on-call support as required.
Skills & Qualifications
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, switches, routers).
- Hands‑on experience with data center or network equipment.
- Ability to read network diagrams and follow detailed instructions.
- Familiarity with structured cabling standards (Cat5e/ Cat6/ Fiber).
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
- Good communication skills to work with remote teams.
- Ability to lift and move equipment (up to 50 lbs).
- Experience in a data center or NOC environment.
- Knowledge of network vendors (Cisco, Juniper, Arista, etc.).
- Certifications such as Network+, CCNA, or equivalent.
- Experience using ticketing systems and change management tools.
- Data center or enterprise IT facility experience.
- Standing, walking, bending, and lifting required.
