Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Route (Birmingham, AL)
As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Route in Birmingham, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as financial institutions and more. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to discourage security‑related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. This part‑time role offers flexibility with a schedule that works for you.

- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
- Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, lobby areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas; assist with visitor access procedures and report suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations.
- Support daily operations by maintaining a visible presence, following post orders, and completing assigned reports related to patrol activities, incidents, and/or client service interactions.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
