Supply Desk is working in partnership with a warm, welcoming, and supportive primary school in Hazlemere (HP15) to recruit an enthusiastic and committed Year 1 Teacher for a September start
.

This role is ideal for a teacher who is passionate about early learning
, confident supporting the transition from EYFS into Key Stage 1, and dedicated to helping pupils develop strong academic and personal foundations in a nurturing classroom environment.

As a Year 1 Teacher
, you will deliver a structured yet engaging curriculum that supports pupils as they move into more formal learning, while still incorporating play-based, practical, and child-centred approaches.

• Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the Year 1 National Curriculum
• Supporting pupils through the EYFS to KS1 transition
• Delivering high-quality phonics
  , reading, writing, and numeracy teaching
• Creating a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
• Assessing pupil progress and adapting teaching to meet individual needs
• Differentiating learning to support a range of abilities
• Working collaboratively with teaching assistants and KS1 colleagues
• Building strong relationships with pupils, parents, and staff

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Experience teaching in Year 1 or Key Stage 1 (ECTs welcome, particularly with relevant placements)
• Strong understanding of the Year 1 curriculum
  , phonics, and early learning strategies
• Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
• A nurturing, patient, and enthusiastic teaching approach
• Availability for a September start
• Ability to commute to Hazlemere, HP15

• Pay in line with MPS/UPS
