Class Teacher - Hawthorn Primary School

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary School Teacher to join our committed and supportive team starting in September 2026.

Salary:£32,196 - £45,352 per annum

32.5 hours per week.

Commencing September 2026

This is a full‑time, permanent position, suitable for an experienced teacher who is passionate about delivering high‑quality teaching and learning.

The successful candidate will ideally have experience or a strong interest in leading English, including reading, writing, and oracy across the curriculum. Subject leadership responsibility may be offered depending on experience.

• Deliver high‑quality teaching aligned with the Primary National Curriculum
• Plan engaging lessons that meet the needs of all learners
• Track pupil progress and use assessment effectively to inform teaching
• Contribute positively to the wider life of the school
• (Desirable) Lead or support the leadership of English, including:
• Curriculum development
• Monitoring and raising standards
• Supporting colleagues with best practice

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Has experience teaching in a UK primary school
• Demonstrates strong subject knowledge, particularly in English
• Has high expectations for pupil achievement and behaviour
• Works well as part of a team and communicates effectively
• Is reflective and committed to professional development
• Has, or is keen to develop, subject leadership skills
