Associate Structural Engineer

Birmingham | £65,000 - £75,000 + Hybrid + Benefits

The Opportunity

A growing multidisciplinary consultancy is looking to appoint an Associate Structural Engineer to strengthen its Birmingham team. This position offers a clear progression route, technical authority within the structures group, and the chance to work across a diverse portfolio of building projects.

The Role
  • Lead structural engineering projects from concept through to detailed design and delivery
  • Manage small design teams and provide technical oversight, mentoring and support
  • Review and approve calculations, drawings and design documentation
  • Coordinate with architects and wider design teams to develop integrated and efficient solutions
  • Contribute to bids, proposals, fee submissions and client presentations
  • Maintain strong client relationships and secure repeat work
  • Promote sustainable, low-carbon, future-proof design principles across all projects
About You
  • Chartered or near-Chartered Structural Engineer (CEng MIStruct

    E/ICE or equivalent)
  • Strong technical background in steel, concrete and mixed-material building structures
  • Experience leading projects within a consultancy environment
  • Comfortable managing budgets, programmes and commercial elements
  • Strong communicator, confident working directly with clients and multidisciplinary teams
  • Committed to quality, sustainability and innovative engineering
