About the Job

As a Concrete Reinforcement Specialist, you will be integral to shaping steel rods to enhance concrete structures. You will leverage your understanding of construction processes and your knowledge of how rods reinforce foundations and framing. This role involves ordering the right quantity of rods and mesh, cutting the iron, and fastening it to concrete forms.

• Analyze blueprints, diagrams, or specifications to accurately determine project requirements.
• Identify quantities, sizes, shapes, and placements of reinforcing rods based on blueprints or instructions.
• Securely position steel bars, rods, cables, or mesh within concrete forms using appropriate tools.
• Utilize metal shears, hacksaws, bar cutters, or acetylene torches to cut rods to specified lengths.
• Use blocks to elevate rebar while reinforcing flooring to ensure structural integrity.
• Fit wire mesh or fabric using hooked rods and place it within concrete for reinforcement.
• Assist with concrete placement during pours.
• Adhere to safety protocols and ensure proper incident reporting; promptly report any issues or accidents to supervisors.
• Participate in weekly safety meetings on job sites to promote a safe working environment.
• Carry out additional tasks as assigned by the Foreman, Superintendent, or Operations Manager.
