Maintenance Technician

Job Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced Permanent Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team in the Manufacturing industry. This full‑time, permanent position offers competitive pay, excellent benefits, and opportunities for career growth.

Salary: $22 - $33 per hour

• Repair of equipment such as automatic resistance welders, conveyor systems, forklifts, CNC wood‑working machines and packaging systems (Mechanical, Hydraulic, and Electrical/Electronic)
• Machine setup and adjustments
• MIG and stick welding
• Repairing broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of water fixtures
• Working on damaged or faulty electrical wiring circuits
• Maintaining the building HVAC equipment in order to keep climate control in the facility functioning properly
• Applying routine and preventative measures to the building and equipment to reduce the risk of future problems
• Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries
• Perform other job‑related duties as assigned
• Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify potential issues and fix them before they become a problem
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on all equipment, including HVAC systems
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests as needed, and troubleshoot issues to determine the best solution
• Work closely with the production team to coordinate maintenance and repair work, and ensure minimal disruption to production schedules
• Keep detailed records of all maintenance work performed, including any parts or materials used
• Stay up-to-date with the latest maintenance techniques and best practices, and recommend improvements to current procedures
• Ensure all work is carried out in line with health and safety regulations, and maintain a clean and safe working environment

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a maintenance role within the manufacturing industry
• Proven experience as a Commercial HVAC Technician
• Solid understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, as well as industrial electrical systems
• Strong problem‑solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair a wide range of machinery and equipment
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines
• Relevant trade qualification or certification would be an advantage
