Wage: $22.31/hour base wage (ability to earn up to $24.43 if able to train as Machine Operator)
Job Summary:
This position combines the roles of transporter and scaler, enabling flexibility to support daily operations as needed.
Job Duties
- Supply necessary materials—boxes, labels, bags, etc.—to the Packing Room to support daily production operations.
- Complete daily equipment checklist prior to operating pallet jack.
- Handle product boxes, ensuring they are placed in the proper freezer location and pull product from freezer to be worked into the line operation.
- Know freezer locations and proper storage locations for product.
- Stack skids and assist in making boxes and operating the skid wrapper.
- Complete all required paperwork and enter pallet tickets and other information into the computer as required.
- Perform frequent bending, lifting, twisting, and lifting product at or above shoulder level throughout the shift.
- Keep work area clean.
- Other duties as needed or assigned.
Job Duties
- Set up and operate scale and tape machine.
- Arrange packing room for the product being run.
- Perform frozen temperature and metal detector checks.
- Advise packers of product type and how product is to be packed.
- Weigh all boxes to meet minimum weight and counts.
- Check scale for proper tare.
- Ensure proper label, stamp, and date code are on boxes.
- Keep work area clean.
- May be required to bend, lift and twist frequently throughout the shift.
- Other duties as needed or assigned.
Job Duties
- Machine set up and operation including leveling, filling, moving machines, speed and adjustment.
- Perform batter test and fried weight temperature checks (FC or Blanched).
- Maintain all cooking systems—adjusting speeds and belt heights, scraping tubes, checking fryer temperatures and filter system, monitoring control panels, monitoring oil levels in fryer tank, understanding Gyro and freezer operation.
- Operate marinator operations: read batch sheets and formulate loads.
- Know 8-digit product codes.
- Operate and fill Wilevco; operate Toledo system.
- Operate Formax and marinator and other equipment as required.
- Know cooler locations and functions, supply line with raw materials.
- Operate jack in a safe and responsible manner.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Complete required paperwork and entry into the computer.
- Knowledge and understanding of the HACCP program.
- Other duties as assigned.
High noise, varied temperatures (warm to cold), slippery floors, moving equipment, and dust may be present. Wear appropriate PPE and other equipment as necessary or required.
Qualifications- Display positive attitude and teamwork skills.
- Must be able to stand and walk up to 8 hours per day.
- Ability to frequently bend, lift and twist.
- Must pass company physical classification test for essential functions of the position (back and task).
- Successful completion of a pre‑employment drug test and background check required.
