Captivate is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Summer Technical Installation Intern. This role is designed for students or aspiring professionals eager to enter the fi eld of high-end home integration systems.
Result StatementThe primary objective of this internship is to learn and become proficient at performing precision tasks at the direction of the lead technician and project manager that result in a legendary experience for our clients.
Tactical Work & Responsibilities- Project Execution:
Carefully follow detailed plans and specifi cations for the "rough-in" phase of projects under the guidance of the lead technician. - Technical Installation:
Learn and apply industry best practices to efficiently install equipment such as keypads, wall plates, speakers, cameras, and lighting control devices. - Connectivity:
Develop profi ciency in professional wire terminations and system cabling. - Documentation:
Document and report any changes or discrepancies in project plans to the lead technician or project manager to ensure system reliability and future serviceability. - Communication:
Defer all pertinent client communication to the lead technician or project manager to maintain professional standards. - Problem Solving:
Become resourceful in fi nding technical documentation and solutions using Captivate’s online resources and by collaborating with experienced coworkers. - Continuous Learning:
Actively participate in on-the-job training and continuing education to increase technical proficiency in our core product lines. - Path Toward Independence:
Strive to become self-suffi cient by successfully completing repeatable tasks assigned by the lead technician.
- Eager to learn and receptiveness to feedback; no prior industry experience is required, but a strong interest in technology is preferred.
- Physically able to climb ladders and lift heavy equipment as needed.
- Ability to follow complex, multi-step instructions with precision.
- Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor suitable for high-end residential environments.
- Dependable transportation and a commitment to maintaining project timelines.
- Basic familiarity with hand tools and technical documentation is a plus.

Compensation: $15-$18 to confirm
