In the role of Roadway Project Engineer, we'll count on you to:

  • Serve in a technical role under the direction of a Project Manager on the engineering development of urban and rural highway/roadway projects.
  • Oversee the work of CAD Designers, and possibly other EITs.
  • Prepare detailed engineering designs for roadway and highway projects.
  • Participate in activities ranging from site feasibility analysis to final design and through the construction phase.
  • Assume some project management duties and interact with clients as needed.
  • Perform other duties as needed

    Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline.
  • PE licensure in Idaho or the ability to obtain through reciprocity within 6 months of hire.
  • 6-12+ years of experience in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Transportation Engineering.
  • Experience with Federal-aid and/or design-build projects
  • Experience using Microstation with OpenRoads or ORD, AutoCAD or other CAD design software.
  • Competence in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project.
  • Preferred Additional Qualifications:

  • Exhibits excellent communication, written, and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative team environment, believes in providing high quality work and outstanding client service.
  • Enjoys mentoring and teaching other staff.
  • Willing to lead in a team environment.
  • Comfortable with minimal oversight in performing tasks.
