New-to-District Classified employees may be eligible to receive credit for up to two years’ worth of credit for movement on the Classified Salary Schedule based on relevant prior work experience.
Transferring employees or former District employees hired into this role will be placed on the "M" letter grade of the Classified Salary Schedule, but the initial step placement will vary based on a variety of factors.
Benefits InformationFor positions that qualify, the District offers a benefit package valued at more than $10,000 annually. Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance and the Public Employees’ Retirement System (PERSI) and are provided to classified employees working at least half time (20 hours per week) or more in a regular position.

Job QualificationsAcceptable Experience and Training
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Computer Sciences
- Three to five years work experience with information systems involving troubleshooting, analysis and problem resolution
- Experience using relational database with query-based report writing tools
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training providing necessary knowledge and abilities for Information Technology Systems Analyst
Knowledge of
- SQL: including complex T-SQL statements
- Using update and insert statements in a safe and secure manner
- Microsoft operating systems, Active Directory server and workstation hardware and software, network operating systems and related systems
- Programming languages such as C#, Python, ASP.NET, Power Shell, , HTML, JavaScript, or other languages as needed
- Application, Process, and Data modeling
- Principles of software architecture and management
- Current and new information systems technology and trends
- Business logic development within software technologies
- Data integrity issues and security requirements
- Project management methodologies
- Enterprise Application Administration and user configuration
Ability to
- Demonstrate independent, creative thinking and analytical skills

- Troubleshoot and resolve technology problems

The primary function of an IT Systems Analyst is to develop and maintain applications infrastructure for the District, including applications development, integration, software maintenance, database administration and report development; performs related work as required. IT Systems Analyst will attain deep knowledge in ERP modules, database structure and points of integration with other applications, knowledge of SQL, database architecture, develop and work in the Microsoft SQL Server and other database environments.
The employee assigned to this group predominantly acts to define, identify, and architect business logic within the software technologies.
