General Duties and Responsibilities- Assists in maintaining outdoor areas, operating outdoor machinery safely.
- Perform minor carpentry and painting repairs on buildings.
- Follow sanitary design principles when repairing or modifying food-contact and non-food-contact equipment.
- Ensure that maintenance activities do not compromise product integrity or contamination controls.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic devices effectively and safely.
- Assist in maintaining spare parts inventory and notifying supervisors of parts or tools needed.
- Work closely with production, sanitation, and quality assurance teams to ensure maintenance work supports overall operational goals.
- Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Familiarity with food safety and sanitation practices in regulated environments preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights or in confined spaces.
- Able to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues quickly and effectively.
- Comfortable working with a variety of tools and technical systems.
- Maintains high standards of cleanliness, safety, and precision in all tasks.
- Works well with other departments to achieve shared goals and minimize downtime.
- Takes ownership of assigned tasks and follows through to completion.
- Understands how maintenance activities impact product safety and quality.
