School Caretaker

We are seeking a reliable School Caretaker to join a dedicated site team in Borehamwood. This role is ideal for a proactive individual with a strong can‑do attitude and a background in trades, ensuring a safe, clean, and well‑maintained environment for students and staff.

• Pay Rate: GBP
  16 per hour.
• Hours:
  
  40 hours per week.
• Shift: 9am‑5pm
• Location:
  
  Borehamwood

• Site Security:
  Responsibility for the opening and closing of school premises, ensuring all areas are secure.
• Health and Safety:
  Ensuring walkways are clear and safe.
• Grounds Upkeep:
  General maintenance of outdoor areas, including litter picking and seasonal tasks (e.g., gritting during winter).
• Contractor Liaison:
  Assisting external contractors during site visits and ensuring works are completed safely.

• Vetting: A valid Enhanced DBS check is essential for this role.
• Reliability: A punctual and dependable approach, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Communication:
  Good interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with school leadership, staff, and pupils.
