We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Sonographer to join our medical team. The Sonographer will play a vital role in diagnostic imaging, using ultrasound equipment to assess and diagnose various medical conditions while ensuring patient safety and comfort. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Explain sonographic procedures to patients, answer questions, and prepare them for the procedure, including applying gel and positioning.
  • Operate and adjust sonographic equipment to ensure clear diagnostic images.
  • Monitor patients during procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Examine images to identify healthy and pathological areas and determine if additional imaging is required.
  • Present sonograms and preliminary findings to physicians for diagnosis.
  • Document and maintain patient histories and medical records accurately.
  • Assist physicians and healthcare teams during invasive sonographic procedures.
  • Perform basic medical procedures such as administering oxygen, taking vital signs, and providing emergency treatments when necessary.
  • Clean, maintain, and ensure proper functionality of sonographic equipment.
Qualifications:

Education & Certification:

  • Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Sonography or a related field.
  • Certification by a recognized sonography board (e.g., ARDMS) preferred.

Skills & Attributes:

  • Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting sonographic equipment.
  • Strong analytical, judgment, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient interactions.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Attention to detail and ability to identify subtle differences in imaging.
  • Physical stamina and good eyesight for performing detailed diagnostic tasks.
