Boston, MA - required to be onsite not remote

Inventory Specialist is the principal public information officer. The has an opening for an Inventory Control Specialist. The Inventory Control Specialist will maintain the organization s inventory at multiple locations of physical materials and IT assets, including hardware and software. Duties/Responsibilities: " Reports to Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Chief Information Officer (CIO) " Management of inventory system for all organization assets, facilitate upgrades to related database and/or software under the direction of the CFO and CIO " Track software and hardware details such as the license, allowed usage, renewal period, warranty period, purchase order / contract number, and allocated user(s) " Maintain count accuracy, including software license counts and usage, making recommendations for renewals and purchases " Track technology upgrades, and end of lease or lifecycle hardware assets " Document and monitor software licenses and or hardware assets to ensure compliance with organization " Train and assist with administration of IT Asset Management Policies, Processes and Best Practices " Facilitate the business needs for ongoing technical support for obsolete equipment, and new equipment rollout / distribution " Analyze inventory reports and order patterns to identify items in need of automatic, recurring delivery " Maintains consistent stock of inventory, ordering new stock up to pre-authorized limit as inventory dwindles " Establishes and maintains backup source for high-demand items. " Develop and maintain good working relationships with vendors " Conduct frequent audits and annual physical audits of all inventory at all office locations " Load and unload of deliveries " Dispose of obsolete inventory as directed " Provides monthly inventory reports to CFO and CIO " Performs other administrative related duties and projects, as requested Qualifications for Inventory Specialist Highly successful candidates will have exceptional communication and organizational skills, balanced with experience in IT management processes and practices such as, budgeting, cost allocation, and costing of services. Experience: " High school diploma or equivalent required " 4+ years of experience in an inventory role " Experience with computerized inventory systems required Required Skills/Abilities: " Valid driver s license, with ability to travel to multiple office locations " Basic understanding of inventory control procedures " Experience with budget management " Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively within all levels of the organization and outside vendors Inventory Control Specialist " Extremely organized and able to work with minimum supervisioa " Ability to develop professional relationships with outside vendors " Ability to frequently move equipment weighing up to 40 pounds for inventory purposes " Ability to position self for long periods of time in a warehouse environment " Ability to navigate warehouse and reach items both high and low " Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications " Proficient keyboarding skills " Strong organizational and time management skills " Excellent attention to detail " Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines Considered a plus: " Experience in interpreting licensing terms and conditions " Experience reviewing contracts and licensure materials for software distribution " Experience in utilizing an IT asset management and discovery tool " Strong Supply chain/fulfillment background, establishing programs for distribution and recovery of equipment " Background reviewing financial information, renewal fees and coordination with software vendors and third party distributors
