Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare journal entries and reconcile financial statements and accounts in accordance with GAAP.
- Support month-end close and year-end audit processes by preparing reports and disclosures.
- Maintain the fixed asset general ledger and assist with capitalization policies.
- Perform analytical reviews and investigate variances between actual expenses and budgets.
- Manage accounts receivable tasks including aging reviews, collections, invoicing, and payment processing.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of general ledger accounting and GAAP principles.
- Apply intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of Word and Outlook.
- Communicate effectively and work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Maintain strong attention to detail and organizational skills in a fast-paced setting.
- Pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screening successfully.
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting or related field.
- 3+ years of general ledger accounting experience.
- 2+ years of experience preparing adjusting journal entries.
- Interpret technical instructions and solve problems using sound reasoning and judgment.
- Demonstrate ability to read, write, and speak effectively in professional settings.
