Hours: 30 hours per week, 5 days out of 7 days (Monday to Sunday), between 14:00 and 20:00
Due to operational demand you will also work one in four Sundays between 10:00 and 17:00.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  • Preparing your van and workload for the day.
  • Using route‑planning technology tools to ensure each parcel reaches the correct destination at the right time.
  • Securely delivering all items on your route, including election materials and special items such as food products or alcohol, in line with Royal Mail business standards.
  • Representing Royal Mail as a positive ambassador, interacting with customers and delivering excellent service.
Candidate Profile
  • Upbeat, self‑motivated and able to work independently.
  • Organised, punctual and with great initiative.
  • Committed to delivering excellent customer service.
  • Comfortable interacting with customers.
  • Willingness to work in the afternoon and early evenings.
  • Experience with multi‑drop driving across a designated area.
  • Possession of a full UK manual driving licence with no more than six penalty points.

  • Guaranteed hourly rate of £13.06p/h (paid monthly and adjusted to your working hours).
  • Paid overtime with an enhanced rate of 1.25× for hours worked over 40 hours a week.
