Hours: 30 hours per week, 5 days out of 7 days (Monday to Sunday), between 14:00 and 20:00
Due to operational demand you will also work one in four Sundays between 10:00 and 17:00.
You will be responsible for:
- Preparing your van and workload for the day.
- Using route‑planning technology tools to ensure each parcel reaches the correct destination at the right time.
- Securely delivering all items on your route, including election materials and special items such as food products or alcohol, in line with Royal Mail business standards.
- Representing Royal Mail as a positive ambassador, interacting with customers and delivering excellent service.
- Upbeat, self‑motivated and able to work independently.
- Organised, punctual and with great initiative.
- Committed to delivering excellent customer service.
- Comfortable interacting with customers.
- Willingness to work in the afternoon and early evenings.
- Experience with multi‑drop driving across a designated area.
- Possession of a full UK manual driving licence with no more than six penalty points.
- Guaranteed hourly rate of £13.06p/h (paid monthly and adjusted to your working hours).
- Paid overtime with an enhanced rate of 1.25× for hours worked over 40 hours a week.
- 22.5 days holiday, increasing with length of service (adjusted to hours if below 40).
