Position: Minibus Driver - Oakdale Junior School and Old Town Infant School and Nursery

Minibus Driver – Old Town Infant School and Nursery & Oakdale Junior School

A Minibus Driver will be responsible for transporting pupils before and after school between the two sites. The role requires a positive character, driver skills and a commitment to safety.

Working Hours

10 hours per week (approximately 8–9 am and 3–4 pm, Monday to Friday). Term time only – 38 working weeks per year.

Salary

Grade 4, 6–9 (13.47 – 14.13 per hour).

Start Date

September 2026, fixed term for one year initially.

Requirements
  • A positive character who will enjoy working with children.
  • A competent, safe driver with a clean licence.
  • A driver holding Category D on their licence (most drivers who qualified before 1 January 1997).
  • A willingness to engage in a 2‑hour minibus driver awareness training session arranged by the school.
  • A qualified first aide or a willingness to be trained.
