About the RoleBohler’s Bowie, MD office is seeking a Project Engineer who’s ready to take the next step in technical and professional growth. You’ll lead aspects of site design, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to project delivery across diverse commercial, residential, and industrial projects in Maryland. - Design and coordinate site layouts, grading, drainage, and utility systems for complex projects.
- Analyze zoning regulations, site conditions, and environmental constraints to guide design decisions.
- Perform stormwater management and hydrology calculations using AutoCAD Civil 3D and design software.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and contractors to deliver cohesive design packages.
- Review technical reports, construction documents, and cost estimates.
- Mentor junior engineers and assist in technical training and quality review.
- Support client communication, permitting efforts, and coordination with review agencies.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in civil/site design, grading, drainage, and permitting.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and stormwater management design software.
- Strong understanding of local zoning, site development processes, and regulatory standards.
- Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills.
- PE license preferred; EIT required or in progress.
