Maintenance Technician

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for the ongoing maintenance of industrial heat treating furnaces, vacuum washers, conveyor systems, blasting equipment, robotics and general building maintenance.

Duties include:

• Approaching all tasks with a safety first mindset, protecting the well being of yourself and your team.
• Optimizing equipment and machinery performance through the maintenance and preventative processes prescribed, with a fair level of autonomy.
• Partnering with the production team to address and quickly respond to equipment failures and problem resolution.
• Providing support to field engineering services for installation and maintenance at customer sites.
• Facilitating continuous improvement through the implementation of best practices.
• Machine troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Metal fabrication / welding / pipe fitting.

Hours are 5:00 am to 1:30 pm with some flexibility. There is a $1.25/hr shift differential for all hours worked between 5 pm and 5 am. Some overtime as needed. There will be occasional travel to customer locations as required. A valid driver's license is required.

• A high school education or equivalent.
• Able to read and comprehend schematics and blueprints; electrical and mechanical.
• 1-3 years experience in troubleshooting and PLC programming.
• 1-3 years experience with functionality/programming in installation of temperature controls.
• Welding experience is a plus.
• Ability and willingness to work OT and weekends, as needed.
• Ability to perform occasional heavy lifting, repetitive motion bending and stretching, and standing.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion, with assistance.
• Solid mechanical/electrical working knowledge required.
• A minimum of 3 years maintenance experience with machinery in a production environment.

Starting rate is from $32+/hr. Higher rates would depend upon experience. Benefits package includes a zero deductible health care plan
