We are looking for a Coordinator to work collaboratively with Behavioral Health Care System and the NICU. The coordinator will be conducting assessments including risk of self-harm and harm to others, providing crisis intervention to a wide variety of individuals from various economic, cultural, ethnic, educational and other diverse backgrounds.
Meet with any family with an identified social risk factor and all babies born at or below 32 weeks gestation or any gestational age with a critical or chronic health need.
Provide crisis intervention to support families in situations of extreme stress or family conflict. Coordinate an interdisciplinary team, conduct child protective services to ensure a safe discharge for certain situations.
Assess the family's social environment and mental health, the family's strengths and needs, and any potential risks that may be present for the baby
Provide orientation to the nICU and anticipatory guidance for the nICU admission
Educate caregivers about postpartum depression, coping with having a baby in the NICU, an adjustment to a child's chronic illness.
With families to assess for postpartum depression, develop coping strategies and assist with bonding with the new baby.
Develop a Family Advisory Committee
Psy.D or Ph.D in Psychology OR Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling OR Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Montana Licensed Mental Health Professional
2 years experience required, 5 years preferred.
