Your Specific Responsibilities:

In support of the Environmental Public Health unit at Florida Health in Manatee County:

* Maintains approachable workstation and serves as the main point of contact for the front of the unit office area

* Processes all initial and renewal applications into Environmental Health Database

* Answers all incoming phone calls, transfers to the appropriate staff member, or answers questions on behalf of the department

* Monitors and responds to all voicemails left in the general mailbox for the department

* Takes in person, online or mailed in payments

* Is responsible for the unit cash drawer on a daily basis and following all fiscal procedures

* Follows proper procedures for the intake of community sharps disposals

* Files, maintains, arranges for storage, retrieves or reproduces documents, records, and reports

* Developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, both internal to the organization and externally

* Communicating effectively with others in writing as indicated by the needs of the audience

* Talking to others to effectively convey information

* Knowing how to find, identify and communicate essential information

* Researching, purchasing, obtaining and auditing supplies and resources needed on behalf of the unit

* Maintains accuracy of facility data in databases, such as the Environmental Public Health database

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

* Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems

* Knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft TEAMS and more
